OUR FAMILY OF FARMERS
Who We Are
The farm was established in 1796 and has been in our family for the better part of two centuries. Even though Aisling Hill Farm is mostly operated by two of the McCarthy boys, every member contributes to the farm.
DOUG AND MEGAN MCCARTHY
Doug and Megan met while in college and married while Doug was in law school. Seventeen years later they have 11 children two of whom are already self proclaimed businessmen. There are no prouder parents on earth.

JOE MCCARTHY
Joe has been raising chickens since he was five years old. Over the years his flock has grown to include hundreds of birds, including Chickens, Turkeys and Ducks, which he raises for egg and meat production. Joe oversees all the farm operations and social media. He has an emphasis on all natural, chemical free farming practices. When he's not farming, Joe can be found playing Irish Fiddle.

LEO MCCARTHY
Leo is the shepherd of a flock of Katahdin sheep. Lambing season is his favorite time of year. Leo is also starting his first batch of pastured rabbits, and is an aspiring banjo player as well.

EVERYONE LENDS A HAND
While Joe and Leo take on the most direct role in caring for the farm's animals, each and every member of the family contributes in his or her own way, helping with processing, checking the bee hives, and welcoming guests.
